Description
Holograph letter from Archbishop Patrick O'Donnell, Dundalk (County Louth), to Hagan. Glad of the result; hoping the strain is not telling on Hagan; Curran was very relieved. He received Hagan's memorial for the Pope very quickly; the main points seem fine, and details are probably forthcoming. There is one point of regret (undecipherable) but it does not create a big difficulty. Thankfully Irish visitors will also be welcome at the Lombard College. Mentioning the fine church on the boundary of their new site. Glad the finances have been sorted out well; he would have opposed using the Holy Father's generosity; resigning would have been a last resort and has thankfully been averted.
