Description
Typescript copy of ‘Bulletin No.171’, issued by the Délégation Irlandaise, 4 Rue de la Terrasse, Paris (France). Discussing under four headings the presidential elections in the United States (nominee Senator La Follette has spoken in favour of the Irish Republic); the Free State debt (a bankruptcy can be only avoided by further obligations to Britain); the generally pro-republican attitude of the Irish people (past elections were compromised by new placements by the '"government"' and Britain even supplies arms to suppress the voice of the people); the possibility of a treaty for trade between France and Ireland.
