Description
Holograph letter from Archbishop T.P. Gilmartin, St. Jarlath's Tuam (County Galway), to (Hagan). He will wait for the official document before telling the parties involved to separate. (See Hagan's draft letter of 4 September and verso; a case of adultery is briefly sketched there.) Commenting Hagan put up a big fight for the College. He met Dr. Browne and found his views very helpful. The divorce bill has not been introduced so far, and there is a welcome lull in domestic politics. It is said there is a strong section of the republicans willing to enter the Dáil. He met Fr. Ronayne.
