dc.description | Typescript letter signed P. Dunne, Archbishop's House, Dublin, to (Hagan), enclosing bank lodgement form for Peter's Pence and two other sums. The archbishop is annoyed over a passage in the documents sent but thinks it better to swallow it – after all, the Holy Father has taken the thing to himself. Then recommending an imminent visitor to Rome, Mrs. Rorke-Merrion asking to obtain access to a papal audience: she comes with her ill son. Some comments on their holidays in Spain: 'bacherozzi' in trousers caused much interest; they were called 'pastores' which must be the equivalent for the Australian 'wouser'. | |
