Description
Copy typescript letter from (Hagan), Rome, to Bishop [Charles McHugh, Derry], having made enquiries about the Christian Brothers case from Cardinal Lucidi, a competent canonist. The Brothers' establishment of an intermediary course is equivalent to a new school; the difference between intermediate and technical education needs to be studied, however. Awaiting further details also on the two propositions from the cardinal. The vestments will be sent soon. Adding that he is not sanguine about the reception by the Pope of the bishops' letter.
