Description
Holograph letter from Bishop McHugh, Derry, to (Hagan). Enclosing document with suggestions for changing the Italian version of his case against the (Christian Brothers) slightly (not extant). Commenting that the Brothers are now attempting to gain complete exemption from ecclesiastical control; for that reason the bishops are meeting on January 8; advising to wait for that to give the Congregation for Religious a more comprehensive picture. Leaving this and the general steering of the case to Hagan.
