Two undated typescript memoranda with copies, also in translation [from correspondence between Bishop McHugh, Derry with the Irish College, and compiled for presentation to the Congregation for Religious], concerning the situation of the Christian Brothers in Derry. First document signed by the bishop; giving account of the present difficulties, of the buildings involved, and offering a summary in nine points. Second document listing in nine points the pleas made by the Christian Brothers in defence of their taking up intermediary education in Derry and offering counter arguments. (Cf. correspondence with McHugh of 12-25 September and 24 December 1924, with Fr. J. McShane of 8 December 1924, and following correspondence with Irish bishops and McHugh of 1925.) [early 1925]
