Description
Copy typescript letter from (Hagan), Rome, to Mr. O'Reilly [Catholic Truth Society of Ireland, Dublin]. Giving his opinion concerning the national ownership by Ireland of a certain exhibit purchased, with English funds, for the Vatican Missionary exhibition. Declaring himself unwilling to take the risk in getting involved, also since another man is already taking care of the matter. Observing that 'I cannot altogether blame the people in England if they take advantage of every opportunity placed within their reach to promote the joint interests of king and country'.
