Description
Holograph letter from Bishop William Codd, Wexford, to Hagan. Asking for his opinion on the suitability of Fr. Brown, now at the College, for a teaching post in Scripture in their seminary; some details of the post. Stating that the standard of Latin in classes taught by other than former Roman students is usually 'exceedingly poor’ and adding this makes the semi-annual oral examinations 'far from enjoyable'.
