Description
Holograph letter from P. Dunne, Archbishop's House, Dublin, to (Hagan), asking on the archbishop's behalf to obtain access to a papal audience for Lady Hemphill, a cousin of Edward Martyn; comments on the former's good intentions for a new cathedral. Commenting that [at the bishops' meeting] Dr. Browne substituted Dr. Harty with delight and 'much talk'. Then observing that a new consul has been deployed since the last had become involved with an Italian fraudster. The archbishop is planning to go to Rome after Easter. Adding that Archbishop O'Donnell 'has a good press agent in these parts'.
