Description
Holograph letter from Bishop Patrick McKenna, Bishop's House, Monaghan, to (Hagan), expressing delight that Mr. Eugene Duffy is fit for further study; giving his approval and recommending a canon law course. Then listing sums he lodged on the account, including Peter's Pence, various dispensations from congregations. Regretting he has to ordain and call back to the diocese some fourth-year divinity students at Maynooth and Paris; asking to obtain permission. Giving high praise for the College's academic success. Thankfully Dr. Mulhern was not seriously ill. Hoping to travel to Rome late in the year, after the national pilgrimage.
