Description
Holograph letter from Edward J. Byrne, Archbishop's House, Dublin, to (Hagan). Asking him to see to their capitular appointment; his nominees are Fr. James Dunne for dean; Fr. Francis Wall for precentor; Monsignor Patrick Walsh for chancellor (caused by Monsignor Hickey's death). Adding names for ternas and two petitions including a prelacy for Fr. Wall. Dr. John Flanagan is facing important work at Fairview; Fr. Patrick Dempsey received his exeat in 'another instance of my episcopal tyranny'- he might not be accepted by the Bishop of Auckland now. Glad that Hagan will be able to 'dip your hands in brick and pozzolana' at Santi Quattro at last. Looking forward to seeing him in Rome in Easter week.
