Description
Holograph letter from Bishop William MacNeely, Ard Adhamhnain, Letterkenny (County Donegal), to Hagan, having paid Peter's Pence. Having completed a visitation of schools in the poorest districts, observing that despite the world press reports the people are pulling through a bad season, and the children generally look healthy. Doubtful whether the Raphoe students in Rome will be up to degree standard. Uncertain yet whether he will travel to Rome this year. Enclosing document from President [MacCaffrey], Maynooth, who asked to forward it (not extant).
