Description
Holograph letter from J. Hagan, Grand Hotel, Toulon (France), to Miss Delaney [Dublin]. Expressing his doubts as to the propriety of engaging Mr. Hewitt for their services because of his dubitable opinions on religion and other matters of importance. Then regretting that in this case he ought not present their pilgrimage group to the Holy Father; it would be uncommon procedure where the arrangements for the audience were made by others. (Marked 'private and confidential'.) (Returned with her letter of 21 March.)
