Description
Holograph letter from Éamon de Valéra, Dáil Éireann, Oifig an Uachtaráin, Dublin, 'a chara' (to Hagan), sending this via friends. Surmising that the distinguished visitors in Rome are there for more than a canonisation, and 'further notable visitors' will have considerable influence by their actions. Asking for exact details to enable preparations- 'it is necessary to have the details well in advance too'. Stating his confidence in Hagan to hold the fort – 'even though the big guns are being brought to bear'.
