Description
Holograph letter from Seán T.(Ó Ceallaigh), American Association for the Recognition of the Irish Republic, 3 East 42nd Street, New York (United States of America), to (Hagan). The pressure on him is a little less since their National Convention is over and went successfully. Grateful for Hagan's letters of June, and the instructive paper on Henry VIII's time. The Assistant General arrived and bore out what Hagan had said about headquarters for instance; the Franciscan's story was not new either. He has not been given permission yet to come home; eager to be there when Hagan is. Cáit's health is compromised by a visit to Kansas City. He has read of Dr. M(annix)'s magnificent reception in Ireland. The American Association sent a letter of protest to the Pope against the penalization of the Irish republicans by the Irish hierarchy; sending copies to the bishops also.
