Holograph letter from P. Daniel, 33 Kenilworth Square, Rathgar (Dublin), to Hagan. Commenting at length on his arrangements for the family's journey to Rome. Ironic remarks about 'the Popes of the (Catholic Truth Society). Most of them could not run a hen house'. Stating that he and Oliver St. John Gogarty are not friends; taking it that he sang his swansong in Rome (remarks about swimming the Liffey). Fr. Morrissey is in high spirits and can be expected to gain the senior curacy at St. James’s. Commenting on Fr. McGrath going to the West Indies teaching the natives amiability. Expecting that the party to Rome will be led by Fr. Michael Toher.
