Holograph letter from John Lennon, Mountmellick (County Laois), to Hagan, explaining he has not been well since returning. Expressing their delight over the new College's grandeur. Discussing ways of contributing to it since Hagan has already been promised an altar. Enclosing note from Fr. John James, seeking a dispensation (not extant). DeValera just visited him- the election was very strenuous and 'some of the priests did take an ignoble part'.
