Description
Holograph letter from Bishop E. Mulhern, Ardmaine, Newry (County Down), to (Hagan), sending his diocese's contribution to the new College; mentioning a financial matter concerning Ed(ward) Smyth. Glad that Mr. Branagan will take up the Kearns burse. Asking to obtain a relic of the True Cross for the cathedral. [Also sending] document renewing his faculties for Mass stipends (not extant). Commenting on the debt which has been reduced, but 'the times are now at their worst' for paying it off further.
