Description

Holograph letter from Piers Synnott, Furness, Naas, County Kildare, to Hagan. Wishing to renew the rescript which gave his father permission for Mass in their private oratory. Describing at length the vicissitudes connected with receiving the original rescript in 1920 and copies in following years- enclosing original correspondence with Bishop Foley 1920-1923 and handwritten copy of the original brief by Foley. Asking whether the original, necessary for a renewal, is still in Rome; if not, applying for a new one.
