Description
Holograph letter from Cardinal Patrick O'Donnell, Carlingford (County Louth) to Hagan. He discussed matters with the Archbishop of Dublin; hoping that Hagan will receive the monies in time to meet the bills - comments on minor disasters concerning church funds. If they had the man, it would be very useful to have an Irish ecclesiastic on the Rota. He did not see much of Pecorari; he received the Portiuncula papers. Noting Hagan's anxiety concerning the unoccupied space in the new College. (In the U.S.), regretting he could not follow up some warm and urgent invitations to other cities, but stating that he could not face these demonstrations for himself; grateful his strength lasted so long. Pronouncing Curran's mission a delicate and difficult one.
