Typescript letter signed Cardinal George Mundelein, Archdiocese of Chicago, Chancery Office, 740 Cass Street, Chicago (Illinois, United States of America), to Mrs. McWhorter, Ancient Order of Hibernians, 1023 Garrick Building Chicago. In thanks to the Ladies' Auxiliaries of the Order establishing a burse for the diocesan seminary, acknowledging the reverence for the priest- hood thus shown which comes to them from their Irish ancestors. Promising the holder of the burse will be chosen from among the Order's member families. (Covering letter not extant.)
