Description
Holograph letter from M. bean Uí Riain, Kindlestown, Delgany (County Wicklow), to Hagan, recommending a young woman, Róisin Smith, for any skilled domestic post in Rome. It should be an aim to counteract the great numbers emigrating. During the war she once lost her work in a jam factory due to unwelcome visits by Specials. Then commenting that those once voting for Cosgrave because he was 'less murderous than DeValera' can now vote for the new Redmond Party – 'you needn't count the Irish now lying in Flanders?' Regards from Jim.
