Description
Holograph letter from John Lennon, Mountmellick (County Laois), to Hagan; having just returned from Rome. Commenting on the noble new College; all say it will do serious damage to the home institution. Many wish that Hagan's 'unflagging energies' be transferred 'to nearer fields. Preghiamo!' Acquaintances who saw the photographs of the College, or that he plans to see. Adding (cryptically) that 'Sydney is mentioned in some quarters – (and) Sister Michael, Cosgrave's friend – but, I think the latter may remain amongst the men of the Westh' (sic). He impressed on Mr. Keohane the importance of going out, he will make investigations into matters of importance.
