Holograph letter from Archbishop J.M. Harty, The Palace, Thurles (County Tipperary), to (Hagan), having paid Peter's Pence and sums for students and as a honorarium. The papal blessing arrived. Monsignor J.J. Ryan has Belgian Benedictines inspecting Glenstal Castle with a view to establishing an Irish school of carving – 'to capture for Ireland the trade in altars etc. that at present goes to Belgium (and) the Tyrol'; uncertain about the co-operation needed.
