Description
Holograph letter from M. bean Uí Riain, Delgany (County Wicklow), to Hagan. In thanks for his assistance to R. Smith who is resigned to her fate right now. Stating that the interned men are all free again, including George Plunkett who in the meantime had spontaneously married Mary McCarthy while on parole. Wondering whether Mary [the same] would have grounds to break out of it 'with the Marlborough case ringing in our ears', however. Ernie O'Malley has taken the Republican Club in the university in hands. The National League has a splendid Press. Also commenting that Fianna Fáil would sweep the country if they only published what they said; that Cosgrave and Magennis carry on 'their little back-chat as usual'.
