Description
Handwritten draft letter by (Hagan), Rome, to Dr. Sabbatucci (Rome). Before tendering his reply to the 'governatorato', wishing to explain that he is opposed to sending their students to hospitals for treatment, excepting where operations are concerned. Wishing an assurance from whichever medical officer the College will select; reserving the right to choose the hospital for those exceptional cases; the College has an infirmary and a trained nurse to facilitate students who are ill. (This was marked 'c.1928'; however, the subject is brought up by Curran in correspondence in July and September of 1926, the year the new College and its infirmary were completed.)
