Fragments of [two] handwritten draft memoranda by (Hagan), on the subject of British taxation in Ireland. Applying statistics from the census of 1911 and other published lists, juxtaposing figures of taxation and national debt from the period just before the Act of Union with following years, the recent figures of 1915-1916, and the current year. Pointing to the steep increase of taxation over the period, the increase of national debt, and particularly the increased amount of revenue removed from the country over the recent war years.
