Giving full texts of statements from Wexford Military Detention Barracks internees Thomas Devereux, Laurence Radford, Patrick Connaire (18 February); describing methods of torture applied to untried prisoners refusing to work. 'The method of ill-treatment mentioned in these statements is being frequently practised in some of the prisons...it is usually described by English officers...as "cleaning the dirty Irish"'.
