Description
Holograph letter from P.E. Magennis, Carmelite Priory Aungier Street, Dublin, to (Hagan); he and the vice-rector (Curran) arrived safely. Asking him to look after his bronchitis. Expressing his now grown esteem for the archbishop who has risen to the occasion – 'he is bigger than we ever took him to be' and appreciates Hagan's work. However he left Drumcondra as usual with a regret as to 'the might-have-been'. Regretting he forgot the letter for Tuam. The Carmelites are bent on the purchase now; the discalced have a big place in Cork. He has not seen Seán T. yet.
