Description
Holograph letter from John Cooney, St. Thomas's, West Hill, S.W.18, Wandsworth (England), to Hagan, introducing his former curate and friend (Fr.) Duchemin, now appointed rector of the Beda College. Having a French background and strong Irish sympathies, expecting that Hagan will find him 'the sort of man you would admire'. He wishes to make his friends among the Irish clergy there above all and 'will be always on one side in everything'.
