Description
Typescript letter with handwritten additions from L. Brophy, St. Conleth's Presbytery, Newbridge (County Kildare), to Hagan. Describing their difficulties with two Viennese designers employed for an altar to Our Lady; eventuallythe decision was made to pay for the designs and have the work carried out in Italy by the McBrides (breaks off here). One of the designers has appealed to the Sacra Rota against Brophy; enclosing documents to illustrate the case (not extant); asking Hagan. (Letter marked 'confidential'.)
