Holograph letter from John Ryan, St. Mary's, Foxrock, County Dublin, to 'Carissime' (Hagan). Comments on the new cardinal's means of celebrating in Rome, in contrast to [Cardinal Archbishop] McCabe one time. Some news of friends and his own health. Brief comment on the poor state of the economy; lack of ready money. Also asking for papal blessing for Kennedy and O'Ferrall.
