Description
Holograph card from Bishop A. Brownrigg, Kilkenny, to Hagan, enclosing cheque for Masses. Explaining that he has hesitated to raise the honorarium for intentions, unwilling to shut out the poorer classes. Then repeating his wish for 'a stray mitre' from the east [nomination of co-adjutor]; asking him to mention his age in some quarter 'but not in the Direction of Friardom'.
