Description
Holograph letter from Bishop E. Mulhern, Ardmaine, Newry (County Down), to (Hagan). Very pleased that so many men could be found accommodation for. He did not recommence talk of contributing to the altar; he believes now that the whole church is being renovated. The episcopal vacancies excite little interest among those most concerned, such as Down and Connor. Expecting the usual sweeping account from Fr. Quigley of the guards' visit to Rome. (The Bishop of) Clonfert preached in Belfast and visited briefly; the new primate is settling down slowly. (The Bishop of) Kilmore is quite ill.
