Description
Audio recording of the Town Hall meeting held in the Intercultural Center (ICC) on October 24, 2007 in which Georgetown President John DeGioia addressed the Georgetown community on the changes the University would be making in the wake of a hate crime on campus and the subsequent student-led "Out for Change" Campaign. DeGioia announced the creation of three working groups to address the concerns that were brought to him by student leaders. The concerns centered around improving reporting incidents of bias and hate, improving staff and resources to support LGTBQ students and improving educational programs to promote inclusion and respect of Georgetown's LGBTQ community. Towards the end of the recording, DeGioia answers questions from the crowd in attendance.
