'The Hoya', Georgetown's student newspaper, notes in its May 7, 1926 issue that: 'In answer to cordial invitations of the Hon. W. Freeland Kendrick, Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, Mr. Samuel M. Vauclain, President of the Baldwin Locomotive Works . . . and various persons important in the industrial and social life of Philadelphia, the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University has arranged to make, on Saturday, May 8, a general inspection of Philadelphia, its industries and port facilities. Such trips are made each year under the auspices of Georgetown University to one of the important ports of the United States.' Included in the photograph are Mayor Kendrick and Edmund A. Walsh, S.J.
