Voli panoramici e il turismo culturale in Italia
Marshall, Nathan Douglas
In the context of a discussion of cultural tourism in Italy, the objective of this thesis is to create a concrete plan whereby tourists visiting Italy can broaden their contact with and understanding of Italian culture, heritage and natural features. This is done through the creation of a business plan that demonstrates the feasibility of a company, operated in Italy, that provides aerial sightseeing tours of and transport to a variety of Italian localities. After an examination of flight and tourism in the context of Italian culture, and in connection with the notions of authenticity in cultural tourism, the value of the proposed company is evaluated according to the various philosophies of authenticity.
