Seventh in a series of transcribed lectures on Astronomy by Francis J. Heyden, S.J., Director of the Georgetown Observatory. "The Milky Way" describes how astronomers deteremined that our entire solar system is rotating around the center of the galaxy. One revolution around is estimated to take 200 million years and light traveling 186 thousand miles per second would take around 100,000 years to cross its diameter.
