Three quarters of this recording consists of a student radio show, The Blue and Gray Show. This opens with music by William "Bill" Ewers and John Dooley which is followed by a play adapted from William Morris' poem "Haystack in the Floods" by English Professor Paul R. Sullivan, featuring Richard Gordon, Mark Hogan, Ed Carney, and Paul Roberts. The show continues with a roundup of events from area colleges from B.J. Phoenix. After the Blue and Gray Show concludes, at the 23 minute 34 second mark, a portion of the presentation ceremony for the Robert F. Wagner Papers can be heard, with remarks from the Secretary-Treasurer of the American Federation of Labor, George Meany.
