Abstract
Military spending by the United Kingdom, the United States, and other developed countries is seen as having a deleterious impact on their own domestic economies and on the quantity and quality of health care throughout the world. Statistics are provided on the defense and health budgets of the United Kingdom, world expenditures for war preparations as opposed to development aid, and percentages of material resources consumed by the arms race in the U.S. (KIE abstract)
