Professional Ethics -- for Whose Benefit?
Journal of Medical Ethics. 1982 Mar; 8(1): 25-32.
In the context of the recent ethical code produced by the Royal College of Physicians' Faculty of Occupational Medicine, a barrister presents a wide-ranging discussion of medical ethics which focuses on issues of confidentiality and the divided loyalties of doctors between patients and employers. The author argues for codes of ethics containing both more explicit rules and indications of how dilemmas may be resolved. (KIE abstract)
