Academic Consultancy: Massachusetts General Placates Hoechst
Nature. 1982 Nov 25; 300(5890): 305.
A summary is provided of the status of negotiations between the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Genetics Institute over a consulting contract of MGH molecular biologist Brian Seed. MGH's demands reflect its existing agreement with Hoechst AG, the German chemical firm which is funding the MGH molecular biology department. The question is raised whether these demands would make it impossible for some faculty consulting arrangements to continue. (KIE abstract)
