Abstract
Former Stanford University graduate student Steven Mosher lost a second appeal of his expulsion from the school's anthropology department when, on 20 September 1983, the university's vice provost upheld the department's action. Mosher may now appeal his case to Stanford's president. While the exact reasons for his dismissal have not been made clear, the university alleges he was guilty of misconduct while doing fieldwork in China. Mosher claims he was expelled for political reasons stemming from his disclosure of abortion practices in his host country. (KIE abstract)
