Stock Breeding Technique Applied to Human Infertility
JAMA. 1983 Sep 9; 250(10): 1257.
The Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California, has reported the achievement of pregnancy in two infertile women by means of embryo transfer from ovum donors artificially inseminated with sperm from the infertile women's husbands. The procedure is seen as a nonsurgical alternative to in vitro fertilization. Fertility and Genetics Research, Inc. of Chicago, funding organization for the development of the technique, has applied for a patent on the procedure. (KIE abstract)
