Murray briefly introduces a set of three papers by John Arras ("Toward an ethic of ambiguity"), Joseph F. Kett ("The search for a science of infancy"), and Leslie A. Fiedler ("The tyranny of the normal"). The papers were originally presented at a conference, cosponsored by the Hastings Center and the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, which was held at the Cardozo School of Law in New York City on 6 April 1983.
