The Moral Status of Embryos

Abstract

Scarlett examines the argument of Singer and Kuhse that it is legitimate to destroy excess embryos produced by in vitro fertilization and contends that the argument suffers from logical fallacies. Singer and Kuhse respond by maintaining that, if it is legitimate to destroy eggs and sperm that have the potential to be united, it is also legitimate to destroy early embryos. (KIE abstract)
