The Health Ethics Network of Oregon: A Model to Enhance Healthcare Ethics Committee Collaboration
Dunn, Patrick M.
HEC (HealthCare Ethics Committee) Forum. 1992; 4(2): 135-148.
The purpose here is to review the experience of collaboration among HECs [healthcare ethics committees] and describe the development of a network model in Oregon. The review will emphasize a unique feature of the Oregon network: how members worked together to develop an interinstitutional policy to be implemented in healthcare institutions throughout the State. It is hoped that sharing this model of collaboration will be useful to others considering further development of programs or networks in healthcare ethics.
