Applicant had two lighting tubes installed (without a permit) around a large stained glass window on her home in the Capitol Hill Historic District to better illuminate the window. After a complaint about the fixture was registered, Applicant sought a permit for the installation. The Mayor's Agent found that the fixture was inconsistent with the historic district and ordered its removal.

The Mayor's Agent ordered the removal of two lighting tubes installed without a permit around a large stained glass window on Applicant's home in the Capitol Hill Historic District finding that the fixture was inconsistent with the district. He advised the Applicant to work closely with the staff at the Historic Preservation Review Board while choosing an alternative fixture.
